When i start my computer, my screen only turns on when arriving on the administrator screen (the one with the password) - too late of course to access the BIOS. In gpu demanding ones you lose 1-3 which is completely worth it if the temps are 20C lower. The perf loss is not that much, maybe in cpu intensive games. The problem is that i cannot access the BIOS which usually allows this change. Yes perfectly safe but you will get a 50 performance lost so might as well just buy a CPU that’s a few generations older. With quickboot enabled, memory are not tested, and so additional ram cannot be checked (at least, that is how i understand it).
